This is how we spent our day...

Long story short, Jack Henry's doctor, Dr. Amy, thought he may be having small seizures and referred Jack to a neurologist at Vanderbilt, his appt is in Jan. Wednesday morning Dr. Amy's nurse, Becky, called to see how he was doing (we love his doctor & her staff, they really care and call just to check in whenever Jack has been sick), I told her he a had a few 'spells' the night before that included his eyes doing something weird. So a few minutes later she called back to tell us to go straight to Vandy, like right then..ok so we did, arrived about 1 pm, and checked in. this hospital is the most efficient place i have ever been, by 2 pm we had seen our doctor and neurologist and they lined up a ct scan and eeg, attempted to start an iv, twice, Jack was having no part of that, so he was very upset during the eeg, he did look super cute with his little hospital gown and 25 electodes on his head covered with gauze. eeg came back normal as did the ct scan, the scan did show fluid buildup behind the bones in his ear (?) and since your ears maintain your equilibrium it is possible that it could be the cause...FYI..i said this to jason a few weeks ago and had his ears checked but they were fine, the Dr. at Vandy did say this is not the kind of fluid you can see by looking into the ear, you really need a scan to see it. So we have a follow up with neuro in Jan. but right now we feel good that all the tests were normal and will not be worrying about this through Christmas.

Random pictures and videos...

This is a video of Jack Henry 'riding' (with Jon's help) his new truck. He could literally do this all day. Jason and i both can only push him a few times around before a break, i guess we are getting old, but Jon will push him as long as he wants.. he loves his brothers.

This is a video of Michual (taken by Jon) showing off soccer skills. I think after 1 season of middle school football he is ready to get back to soccer...thank goodness..football is just to much for kids to commit to, 3-4 hours of practice EVERYDAY, just seems a little over the top to me anyways, I am sure he will change his mind several times between now and the time to try out..

After i uploaded i realized it was sideways, oops, please give me credit for effort but remember I am a blonde..just turn sideways to watch it!

These are pictures of Jack Henry with his new winter hat, as you can tell, he was very mad that i put it on him, but got over it quickly. The last picture is crazy, Jason said he looks like 'Joe Dirt', there is definitly a similarity to a curly blonde mullet. oh, Jack Henry, our little redneck baby..

Jack Henry's 1st Birthday!!

Today was Jack Henry's birthday party, he had alot of fun eating most of the icing off the little turtle cake i made just for him. We also had a big turtle and cupcakes & lots of finger foods. We did a turtle/blue & green theme, we have always said he had a perfectly round head like a turtle, so it was fitting.

Jack Henry was not sure why all these people gathered around to watch him eat...He was in for a suprise!

He is just not sure about this new 'food'

well, maybe another bite.

It IS yummy..

It's chilly, but my legs are warm!

We got up this morning and it was super chilly in the house, so the "Hugalegs" that Lisa at Haute Mama gave us made Jack's legs all warm and toasty, Jack says 'Thanks Lisa!'

Leg warmers are no longer just for girls, well, at least they are blue!
